After 1947, when the Pakistan appeared on the map of the world, there was one textile mill i.e. Lyallpur Cotton Mill in Faisalabad. There was acute shortage of fabrics in the country. The enterprises of Faisalabad started manufacturing of cloth on wooden looms, bleaching was done in big pot called kupia, dying was done on wooden jiggers and screen printing on cemented tables. Here came the role of chemical & dyes merchants to provide basic requirements to the developers.
